In Manhunt, the Defender Mark 1 Assault Rifle is based on the CAR-15/M16A2 Commando (also known as the Colt Commando), according to its texture file names. In Manhunt 2, it resembles an M4A1.

The "dirty version" of the Defender Mark 1 in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
- The Defender Mark 1 Assault Rifle from Manhunt appears in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas during a cutscene in the mission Stowaway. Although it is the same model, it uses the "dirt" texture.
- The Defender Mark 1 texture file name is "CJ_Colt_Commando". Colt Commando is an alternative name for the CAR-15 assault rifle.
