The Cane was a weapon cut during the development of Manhunt.
Overview[]
Virtually nothing is known about the cane, as it's leftover HUD icon is simply an image labelled "Cane".
It could be possible that the cane was a Rattan, a cane made of the same material used for Caning, a type of corporal punishment.
Another possible clue is the Cane from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, whos texture has a similar naming scheme[1] to the Chainsaw from Vice City/San Andreas,[2] which in return, originates from the early development of Manhunt.[3]
