Carcer Market[1], also referred to as Carcer Mark, is a neighborhood of Carcer City that appears in Manhunt.

Description[]

Carcer Market is depicted as a large derelict area of the city. It is the first neighborhood visited in Manhunt.

The neighborhood made up of ruined buildings, shuttered stores and rusted vehicles. It is occupied by the Hoods, who claim it as their turf, and the location of the Carcer Mark Shopping Mall, as well as the abandoned Carcer City Library.

Events of Manhunt[]

In 2003, this neighborhood is used by Lionel Starkweather as the set for three of his snuff movies, starring Darkwoods Penitentiary inmate James Earl Cash.

Unbeknownst to the public, Cash's execution was all a ruse, thanks to the corrupt Darkwoods Penitentiary staff paid by Starkweather. The "lethal injection" he received was nothing more than a strong sedative.

In Born Again, Cash wakes up from his sleep and finds himself locked in a room. Over the intercom, Starkweather instructs Cash to put on a wireless earpiece and tells him to follow his instructions and promising freedom to him when the night is out. Cash participates in three different scenes of Starkweather's movies, killing many Hoods on his path to Dentons City Junkyard.
