Cash's Family are minor characters in the Manhunt series who appear briefly in Manhunt.

Virtually nothing is known about Cash's family prior to the events of Manhunt, except for the fact that they were distant.

The exact familial ties between Cash and his family members aren't mentioned in the game. However, the game's text files reveal that they are his father, mother, brother and sister (although there is also an unused line from Starkweather which implies that both women are his sisters).

There are two models of the family members, one male and one female. Both models have two texture variants each of an older and younger appearance.

The man is of an average build and has a large bruise on the right side of his forehead as well as a prominent cut on the left. He is most likely Cash's father.
	Hos1B	The family member is a young shaved man. He wears only ripped dark blue pajama pants. The man is of an average build and has several bruises and cuts on his body, most notably a large bruise on the stomach and forehead and an apparent cut going vertically from his mouth to his left cheek. He also has a tattoo of a flying bird on the left side of his chest. He is most likely Cash's brother.
	Hos2A	The family member is an older woman. She has dark hair with red dyed strokes and wears only black lingerie with a white bra. The woman is of a slim build and has several notable bruises on the right side of the chest and under the left eye. She also has a faint tattoo of a butterfly on her right arm. She is most likely Cash's mother.
	Hos2B	The family member is a young woman. She has chestnut hair and wears white lingerie as well as a torn pink undershirt. The woman is of a slim build and has a small bruise under her right eye as well as a bleeding nose. She is most likely Cash's sister.

History

Events of Manhunt

In 2003 the family is kidnapped from their home at night under orders from Lionel Starkweather, who is directing a snuff film starring their relative James Earl Cash. The director has the family brought to the Carcer City Zoo and tied to wooden crosses, hoping to use them to provoke Cash's ruthlessness as well as to build his on-screen character by making him rescue them, thus portraying his heroic side.

Cash must rescue at least one relative, who are under threat of execution if Cash gets spotted near them. As each one of them get rescued, they run off-screen without saying a word with only a brief comment from Cash, offering either brief consoling words or cold warnings to get away.

After he rescues at least one family member and escapes the zoo, Cash is driven to the Carcer City Mall, where Starkweather tells him to find a hidden video tape for a video meant specifically for Cash. Having found the tape and made his way to a bar with a television set, Cash watches the video, which contains footage of an Innocent taunting the camera before gruesomely decapitating Cash's relative.

An enraged Cash destroys the television set he watched the tape on while Starkweather says that he could never have let Cash's family go after they witnessed a production of his snuff film, thus confirming that they are all dead and that Cash could do nothing to save them.
