The Flashbang was a weapon cut during the development of Manhunt.

Overview[]

A stun grenade, also known as a flash grenade, flashbang, thunderflash, or sound bomb, is a non-lethal explosive device used to temporarily disorient an enemy's senses. Upon detonation, a stun grenade produces a blinding flash of light and an extremely loud "bang". They are often used in close-quarters combat, door breaching, and riot control, typically to stun enemies or distract them. [1]

The stun grenade can only be assumed to have worked exactly like this, however the only remains of this feature is the reused texture, and a leftover HUD icon in the Prototype Version 0.69.

The Flashbang is depicted to be a dingy, dark gray and silver Canister, with details such as a serial number, and the lettering "FLSH L1".

Trivia[]

  • The Flashbang HUD icon is simply a canister with the letter "F" on it, shared with the similarly scrapped Tear Gas, albeit the Tear Gas icon having "T" instead.[2]
  • SWAT Officer Alpha asks his fellow officers for flashbang, when attempting to flush Cash out.
