Frankie and the Freaks is a television program in Manhunt 2.

It is initially referenced (though not by name) in the original Manhunt, prior to the it's debut as a named TV show, where certain characters are wearing costumes that seem to be references to characters on the show, such as the White Rabbit, one of Lionel Starkweather's actors wearing a rabbit costume; and Piggsy, a naked man who wears a pig's head as a mask.

With the release of Manhunt 2, it is revealed that these characters were cosplaying the TV show characters of the same name in the snuff films. Manhunt 2 uses the show as a reference to the past villains in Manhunt. In the original Manhunt, the show is never mentioned by name.

Description[]

Frankie and the Freaks is an adult programming show apparently made as a demented parody of children's shows. The program appears on television, specifically on TV-MK. The set of the show has since been obliterated, covered in blood with its actors slaughtered at the spots where they would be introduced on-camera.

Cast[]

Name Description
Frankie Frankie is the main character of the show. It is an orange-colored doll.
Freaks The "Freaks" are the second main characters. They consists of a blue-colored doll, a pig with wings, and a white rabbit.

History of Manhunt 2[]

This section contains insufficient information and is considered as a Stub. You can help the Manhunt Wiki by expanding it as much as you can.

The rabbit can be found dead hanging from a microphone cable, in the middle of the show's set. A second rabbit corpse can be found ripped apart, with the head on a spike.

Beta[]

According to early designs, the show originally was to be named "Frisbee and the Freaks," mentioning the scrapped character, Frisbee.[1]

Inspiration[]

The file names of the assets used in the set indicates that the show is inspired by The Muppets. This is further reinforced by a concept artwork of the cut character Frisbee used in an early version of Manhunt 2's main menu, in which the character strongly resembles the Muppet character Breaker.

In addition, Frisbee appears to have been the lead character of the show, as Steven Walsh's portfolio confirms the show was originally named "Frisbee and the Freaks".[3]

Trivia[]

  • Despite being marketed visibly as a children's show, there is a sign stating the series is not suitable for children.
    • Further proof is when listening to the studio's background music/sounds, the screams of children are sometimes also mixed in with moans of a woman.
    • Other websites seem to list this show as a cartoon, but this wouldn't be the case as the characters were apparently live actors in costumes on a studio set, and have since been killed and arranged in a sick sort of art display.
