When you see your victim and you have no weapons, you have to become a bit inventive. With a quick thinking and a steady hand, a PIECE OF GLASS becomes a deadly weapon that can pierce your victim's jugular. THESE are the original that were used in many of Starkweather's features. - $34

The Glass Shard is a green class weapon available in Manhunt and Manhunt 2.

Description[]

Manhunt[]

The Glass Shard is the only weapon that players can create by themselves through the resources in the scene. If a glass window, door, or pane is broken, it drops a Glass Shard where the glass once was for the player to use.

Apart from melee combat and executions, the Glass Shard shares the same ‘key’ function as the Knife and Machete, allowing the players to cut open ropes that secure certain gates preventing the player from advancing beyond them, as well as certain ropes in the scene Strapped for Cash.

Deliverance variant[]

In Deliverance, a Glass Shard variant (simply named Shard) can be found twice in Starkweather's Estate's attic and can be used to battle Piggsy.

It shares this same model as this common Glass Shard; however, it has its own HUD icon and execution animations, designed only for the battle with Piggsy. It cannot be used to execute any other hunters. The Shard shares execution animations with the Wooden Spike, which is also an exclusive weapon for this scene.

Manhunt 2[]

The Glass Shard returns in Manhunt 2 as a disposable weapon, not just in brutal executions, but also in melee combat. Swinging this glass shiv against a hunter or any surface around a number of three to five times will destroy it.

Unlike the original Glass Shard, this Shard in Manhunt 2 is long enough to be swung around a corner while pressing against cover, an ability that was exclusive to certain Blue and Red melee weapons in the first game. Performing this against an incoming hunter will knock them down to the floor for 5 seconds before they recover. While downed, the player can beat them down. If the hits done to them while downed aren't lethal, then they will simply stand up uninterrupted even if the player is in the middle of hitting them. The player can execute the hunter in the brief interval after they recover and stand up, but only from a certain distance.

Executions[]

Note: The Glass Shard shares execution animations with the Knife.
