Manhunt Wiki

The latest version of the game, which the CCPD use, takes a .50 caliber round, which is strong enough to stop a charging bull. Some of the hunters and most of the Cerberus are armed with these powerful weapons. The Avenger is almost as dangerous as the people holding them.

The "Avenger Force .50 AE" Heavy Handgun [1][4][5] is a blue class weapon in Manhunt and Manhunt 2.

Description[]

The Heavy Handgun's performance is similar to the Light Handgun, but being more powerful (nearly as strong as the Shotgun) as well as much more accurate and having a bigger range.

It is used by the Cerberus, CCPD, SWAT, The Bloodhounds, Project Militia and The Legion.

Influence[]

The Avenger Force .50 AE Heavy Handgun is based on the IMI Desert Eagle Mk XIX, chambered in .50AE caliber, with slighty modifications to the model.

Trivia[]

  • There was a flashlight variant for this weapon planned for Manhunt 2 but it ended up being cut. A fragment of the model can be found in an image from Rabcat's website[6] and the HUD icon is featured on the Vienna weapon line-up.[7]
  • The Heavy Handgun was featured on Safe House on the PS2 Beta, it had the same role as the Revolver on the final game but it ended up being cut.

Although on the PSP 0.01, the level has the revolver in it like on the retail version.
