- “Free for all! Free for all! Free for all!”
Hood 2 is a member of the Hoods gang in Manhunt.
Background[]
A member of the Hoods gang hired by the sadistic Director to participate in the manhunt for James Earl Cash, this Hood is a violent criminal who is easily distinguished by the unique New York accent that he speaks in.
Some of the unique stuff of his background includes: having recently bought the Maibatsu Monstrosity with a leather interior and every supplementary (which he shows off to his fellow Hoods),[1] living a sedentary lifestyle by watching too much television,[2] and being a smoker who uses a bong.[3]
Personality and Mannerisms[]
- Has the generic hunter personality, which includes the following:
- He is a violent hoodlum who is cruel[4] and loves fighting.[5][6][7][8] He feels confident that he and his gang will kill Cash in the end.[9]
- Knowing violence, he has a pain tolerance. He is likely experienced in street fights, which is noticeable with how the Hoods look ragged and injured.[10]
- He can get frustrated during periods of inactivity during the manhunt,[11] any fruitless leads on Cash,[12] and when losing him.[13]
- He likes being involved in gang violence,[14][15] thus he doesn't want to miss out on any instance.[16] He mocks Cash via often using the word “shitbag” or other similar words[17][18][19][20][21] and despises weaklings and cowards, despite being called a “pussy” by the Hoods.[22]
- Like other hunters, he feels edgy during the hunt.[3] He can be startled by various stimuli, like sensing Cash suddenly when he's too close to him while not alert.[23]
- Besides begging for mercy,[24] accepting his death,[25] and etc., he may also bribe Cash to spare him[26] or try to trick him once he is defeated.[27]
- He is a violent hoodlum who is cruel[4] and loves fighting.[5][6][7][8] He feels confident that he and his gang will kill Cash in the end.[9]
- He also feels sleepy during the manhunt.[28] As such, he tries to remind himself to stay alert.[29]
- He is prone to talking to himself about anything and he wishes to cut this habit so that he can stay focused.[30]
Relationships[]
Personal life[]
This Hood knows someone named Lenny whom he saw get very drunk the night before the manhunt, which surprised him.[31]
He has a woman (maybe a wife or girlfriend) who told him that he lost something and seeks to prove her wrong while regarding her poorly because of what she told him.[32] He also tells his Hoods about her plans to “move in together” with him, which he thinks is unexpected and doesn't approve of.[33]
With the Hoods[]
The Hoods called him a “pussy” before, so he seeks to prove them wrong, possibly by participating in the manhunt.[22] That aside, he also knew that one of the Hoods was one of the “Finnegan boys” whose deaths cause him grief.[34] These “Finnegan boys” might be his drinking buddies in a bar named Finnegan's.
For some reason, he may shoo other Hoods who trespass into his own territory in the manhunt to kill Cash.[35] This might be one of the in-universe “rules” or mechanics of the Director's manhunt game whereby groups of hunters are assigned to turfs where they can kill their runner in there, but going beyond it to kill Cash outside of their boundaries isn't allowed in the manhunt.
Disputes, sad stuff, and peer pressure aside, he is on good terms with them, greeting each Hood he meets and having no sign of rudeness with any of them.[36]
With Valiant Video and the manhunt[]
This Hood mentions someone who told him to patrol specific areas that he doesn't like, possibly the Director.[37] He's also on to something as the Hoods are given bad spots to patrol.[38] Like most of the hunters, he is poorly equipped for the hunt, possibly because of the Director controlling what equipment can be used by the hunters.[39]
He only knows that the manhunt is a game, probably a bloodsport, and not a setup for Cash to kill the Hoods for the Director's snuff film.[40]
With Cash[]
Not only does he plan to kill Cash, but he also wants to skin him.[41] He also wants to take a trophy out of him.[42]
Like most hunters, he doesn't know Cash at all, so everything he says to him is impersonal.[43] He also reports to his other Hoods that he stepped on some feces that he thinks isn't a dog's droppings, which might be Cash's since other hunters talk about that.[44]
