The Knife[1] is a blue class weapon in Manhunt.
Description[]
Apart from being used as a melee and execution weapon, it is also a "key" weapon, meaning that the player may use it to cut ropes, such as the ones used to tie up gates that stop the player from advancing through the area behind the gate.
Despite being a Blue class weapon, its small size prevents it from being swung around corners like the Crowbar or Machete. Instead, the player is only able to tap on the wall to create noise that can alert and lure any hunters who have heard it.
Executions[]
Note: The Knife shares execution animations with the Glass Shard.
| Type | Execution | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Hasty | The player simply jams the knife into the side of the target's throat, causing the target to futilely reach for the wound before dying. | |
| Violent | The player grabs the target's shoulder from behind and turns them around to face him, allowing him to stab them in the chest. The player holds them in a headlock as he stabs their chest thrice, killing them. | |
| Gruesome | The player stabs the target's flank from behind, causing them to turn to their attacker. The player grabs the target to stab them in both eyes, killing them. |
Appearances[]

Trivia[]
The Hasty Knife execution animation reused in Rockstar North's Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
- During "White Trash", a Knife can be found inside a small hut in the Dentons City Junkyard, along with five Bottles. It cannot be obtained by normal means.
- The Knife shares the same animation with all the Glass Shard executions.
- The Knife is present in the texture files for the scenes "Strapped for Cash" and "Graveyard Shift". However, the knife cannot be found in these scenes.
- In Rockstar North's Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Carl Johnson can perform an execution with a Knife which has the exact same animation as the Hasty execution from Manhunt.
