The preferred weapon of the "Smileys", this handy tool is weighted to cut through meat in a single motion. As seen in the playbacks, Starkweather's leading man James Earl Cash is also a fan of the cleaver, surprising his enemy by slicing his torso and then gripping his hair and decapitating him in three quick chops. As a dual-purporse tool for the kitchen or on the streets of Carcer City, this is one of the most practical tools offered to our members. Order yours today and we'll throw in a sharpener for your cleaver. - $100

The Meat Cleaver is a blue class weapon in Manhunt.

Description[]

It is a weapon used by The Smileys. Every execution with this weapon will give the player a severed head.

Because of its length and weight, players may swing a Meat Cleaver around a corner (whether they're standing or crouching) to attack incoming hunters. The player may only perform this move at the edge of a corner, where the weapon will be raised up when facing left or held at chest level if facing right, both of which have no effect on gameplay. If the attack successfully lands, it will stun the hunter for approximately 3 seconds. While stunned in the idle state, they are briefly vulnerable to executions, but in the alerted state, they cannot be locked onto for executions (the player will simply assume a combat stance instead as if they were still spotted) until the brief interval when they recover from the stun before spotting the player if they are not hidden.

Executions[]

Note: The Meat Cleaver shares execution animations with the Machete.

Type Execution Description
Hasty
The player holds on to the target's shoulder and chops their back, causing them to fall to their knees. The player pulls their head back to expose their neck and hacks at it thrice, severing their head.
Violent
The target looks behind them to see the player swinging their blade at their belly, causing them to cringe from the hit. The player swings the blade at their neck four times to decapitate them.
Gruesome
The player grabs the target's shoulder and turns them to face him, allowing him to hack their torso which makes them cringe. The player hacks at their nape thrice, beheading them.
