The Molotov Cocktail was a type of weapon cut from Manhunt.
Description[]
The Molotov Cocktail is an incendiary weapon that is used to set a small area on fire. As in real life, molotovs are home made; they are prepared by inserting a rag into a partially filled glass bottle, allowing the rag to ignite the flammable liquid within.
According to 0.69's unused HUD's, there were 2 variants of the Molotov: the regular incendiary variant, and an "explosive" variant, with a cork instead of a rag. It is unknown how the two truly functioned.
The model of the Molotov Cocktail was cut from the game, although repurposed for the Boston Lodge Beer bottle originally held by the Tramp during Drunk Driving in the Prototype Version 0.69. The original rag is missing from the early model, although its image is still present in the texture for the bottle.
The .EXE file for Manhunt still references fire, though there is no code left for it to function.
The 0.69 build's Entity Data list contains an entry for the Molotov, requesting models and animations that don't exist anymore.[1]
