Rraarggh! Piggsy's gonna suck your guts!
―Piggsy

Piggsy is a character in the Manhunt series, who appears as the quaternary antagonist in Manhunt.

History[]

Background[]

Little is known about Piggsy's backstory and how he became a deranged and cannibalistic mass murderer. At some point in his life he became involved with Lionel Starkweather's snuff film ring, starring in such movies as Piggsy's Greatest Hits and Piggsy's Bloopers. Like the White Rabbit, his name appears to be a reference to the in-universe television show, Frankie and the Freaks. [1]

He was a snuff film actor and professional killer working for Lionel Starkweather. As fate would have it, at some point he lost his mind entirely, turning to an animalistic lifestyle and being locked in the attic of Starkweather's compound, where he was fed human carcasses and flesh, when he proved to not be able to take orders anymore due to his mental state. He is used in his final days as more of a living weapon than an actual person. When unchained, he roams the halls, dragging a chainsaw, completely naked, covered in both dried and fresh blood and wearing the rotting head of a one-eyed pig as a mask. His past life as well as his name and age are unknown, although since Starkweather tracked down, hired and payed him for some period as his "star actor", one can assume that Starkweather died with this information.

It is unknown what Piggsy looked like before his mental state deteriorated completely, as he is never seen without his pig-styled mask.

Events of Manhunt[]

Piggsy is first seen chained to a wall inside the run down attic of Starkweather's Estate, being fed by two members of Starkweather's hired private security, the Cerberus. The soldiers argue among themselves and insult Piggsy before throwing his food on the ground, which he proceeds to devour in front of them. At the same time, another Cerberus group is dispatched to transport James Earl Cash to the Carcer City Zoo for a snuff film screening for the Grounds for Assault tape. Shortly after, Piggsy manages to free himself from the attic after breaking his restraints.

Eventually, Cash is betrayed by Starkweather after latter obtained enough brutal live-action recordings from him, leaving Cash to be killed by The Smileys at Darkwoods Penitentiary. Cash manages to survive, but is eventually captured by the Cerberus under Starkweather's orders, and delivered to the garage of his residence in Wapona Hills to be executed.

However, an angry Piggsy carrying a Chainsaw reaches the gardens of Starkweather's residence, interrupting the Cerberus. The soldiers hear the disturbance, leaving the garage to investigate. Off-screen, the Cerberus are shocked at seeing Piggsy before calling in for backup, only to be killed. Starkweather, aware of situtation, orders the Cerberus to eliminate both Piggsy and Cash, who are wandering around the estate's premises.

Starkweather wants 'em both taken out!”
“The angel of death is home and awaiting visitors!
―Cerberus units receiving shoot-to-kill orders

Somewhere within the mansion, Piggsy is seen walking down a path painted with the blood and flesh of the dead Cerberus soldiers. At the same time, Cash manages to make his way through the Cerberus patrolling the property, and eliminate their leader to obtain the access key to the elevator, in order to reach Starkweather's office in the fourth floor.

Cash manages to take the elevator up to the fourth floor, but he is ambushed by Piggsy on the way up. He escapes the elevator hatch and finds himself in the mansion's derelict upper rooms, locked with Piggsy, who is literally sniffing around looking for Cash in the dark rooms while wielding his Chainsaw. An unnarmed Cash uses the shadows and sharp objects such as wooden spikes and glass shards to fight Piggsy. Cash uses the sharp items to stab Piggsy multiple times, causing him to escape to the next area by sawing the attic door's lock off.

On his way up to Starkweather's office, Cash manages to trick Piggsy into fall off to the basement level below. However, Piggsy holds on to the ledge, dropping his Chainsaw in the process which is caught by Cash with his foot. Cash walks up to Piggsy with his own chainsaw before sawing his hands off, releasing him to fall to his death. Shortly after, Starkweather is brutally killed by Cash using Piggsy's chainsaw.
