- “To you it's an everyday household item, it holds groceries, or even your take-out dinner, but to a hardener hunter/killer, it's another weapon in his arsenal. The plastic bag has huge potential as another means of eradicating your enemy in a silent fashion. The official Starkweather bags are now here, own yours today at this incredible price. - $15 per or 3 for $30”
The Plastic Bag is a green class weapon available in Manhunt and Manhunt 2.
Description[]
The Plastic Bag is a very inconspicuous and concealable weapon, perfect for stealth kills. The ones used for suffocation are not just the typical plastic bags, but the ones from Carcer Market are chosen by aspiring murderers and serial killers alike for being durable enough to not be torn while their victim tries to fight back.[1]
Valiant Video sold packs of 3 plastic bags exclusively to their members for $30 at Valiant-ent.tv's Adult Store. These bags are strong, have an ‘engaging message’ on the front (such as “HAVE A HAPPY DAY!” with a smiley face), can easily fold into one's pocket, and come in assorted colors like blue and pink.[2]
After Starkweather's final film, Valiant Video exclusively sold to their members “official Starkweather bags” that were either original versions or reproductions of the bags used in his films for $15 per bag or $30 for a pack of 3 bags.[3]
Daniel Lamb and Leo Kasper ignore all warnings on the hazards of Plastic Bags as they use it to asphyxiate anyone who crosses their path. It is not transparent, meaning that these two can blind a victim with it as they freely deliver their next killing blows on their helpless, vulnerable, and choking-to-death prey.
Seeing these two kill with a mere Plastic Bag should be enough to convince you to switch to paper bags or cloth bags. Go green!Appearance/Influence[]
The Plastic Bag in this game is blue, apparently opaque, and large enough to fit a human head in it.
It also has two carrying handles that Cash ties up when he secures the bag on his victim's head.
The Plastic Bag in this game is pretty much the same as the previous one.
The sound effects of the Bag's Gruesome execution imply that these bags are strong and thick, sounding like crumpling paper.Abilities/Properties[]
Melee System[]
With the Bag equipped, the player is able to attack, block, and grapple. It adds nothing new to melee combat and does the same damage as one's fists.
Disposability[]
As a Green class weapon, the Bag can only execute one hunter before it is lost from the player's inventory. It is lost since it is left on the heads of the corpses it has made.
Silent Executions[]
The Plastic Bag is a Green class weapon, its executions make no noise. The player must still look out for proximity to hunters and their line of sight.
Surface Knocking[]
For the full page on this mechanic, see Surface Knocking. |
With the Bag equipped, the player can knock on surfaces to make one large pulse of noise that travels instantly to attract hunters within its range. Players can tell when they are able to knock on a surface if Cash is holding his Bag close to himself while he is very close to and facing any surface. The player cannot perform any quick attacks or hard attacks in this state until the player exits it via backing off or facing away from a surface. Pressing either the Action button or the Action2 button will cause Cash to swing his fist (which is holding his Bag) at a surface and make a large pulse of noise. The player is also able to knock on surfaces while pressing against cover to the same effect.
Melee System[]
While wielding the Bag, the player is able to attack and block. It adds nothing new to melee combat and it does the same damage as one's fists in hand-to-hand.
Disposability[]
Inherited from the first game is its Green weapon attribute of being lost from the player's inventory after executing one victim. It's still left on their head after an execution.
Silent Executions[]
The Plastic Bag is still a Green class weapon and it still makes no noise when executing with it. Still, watch out for your proximity to hunters and their line of sight.
