The Pliers [1] is a blue class weapon in Manhunt 2.

Description[]

The Pliers (or wire cutters) are a simple tool used to cut stuff like wires between their jaws as well as grip anything that fits between their jaws to bend them. In the hands of a killer just like Leo Kasper, it is an indispensable tool used to literally tear people apart as they clamp the jaws of their pliers on their foe's flesh before ripping a chunk out of the victim's body. It is also a low damage melee weapon and can be used to tap on surfaces to make noise in order to lure and alert hunters.

Because of its length and weight, the player can swing the Pliers around a corner (whether they are standing or crouching) to attack an incoming hunter. The player may only perform this move at the edge of a corner, where the weapon will be raised up when facing left or held at chest level if facing right, both of which have no effect on gameplay. If the attack successfully lands, it will knock the hunter down for approximately 5 seconds, unlike in the first game. They cannot be executed until the short interval after they stand up. Otherwise the player can hit the downed target, only killing them if their health's low, but will stand if they're healthy even if they're in the middle of being beaten.

Outside of combat and murder, the Pliers can be used to cut open any wire mesh that blocks a passageway. This action produces five instances of noise, the first three having a short range (like the sound made by running) while the last two are able to be heard from very far distances.
