Red Light is the fourth episode in Manhunt 2. This episode introduces the player more about security lights, cutting wired mesh with Pliers, and innocent pedestrians. There are two gangs appears in this episode, The Red Kings, Cottonmouth Police Department, and The Watchdogs, taking place in Red Light District, Cottonmouth.
Plot Summary[]
Daniel Lamb and Leo Kasper goes to find Daniel's old Safe House, with the Red Kings guarding the place.
Episode[]
Introduction[]
The episode takes place in Red Light District, the scene moves to Daniel and Leo trying to find and check his safe house but unfortunately the nearest route is blocked off. Leo tells Daniel to stop trying to find the safe house and do not listen to Judy Sender, which he calls her a whore. Daniel trusts Judy, telling Leo that she wanted to help. Leo argues with Daniel, he says that Judy only wanted to save herself from Daniel. Daniel ignores what Leo saying, he still wants to find a way across the road. Leo asks Daniel to think that the Project are everywhere, and they are watching. Leo is annoyed and says they are going to be killed if Daniel does not do what Leo says, Daniel still ignores Leo and walks away to find a way across the road.
Security Lights[]
The episode moves to Red Light District. Leo mentions Daniel's old derelict safe house and the movie theater. After being controlled by the player, Leo calls Daniel "Mr. Commando" and asks if he sees another way into the safe house. Daniel walks towards to find two Security Lights, Leo teaches Daniel about it can be lighted up if Daniel walks or sprints near them, to avoid being lighten up Daniel can sneak instead. Daniel finds homeless people on the side of the streets, the player can kill them or leave them alive. Daniel goes to the right and towards the Mule truck. Daniel sees two Red Kings, torturing a pedestrian for bypassing their turf with Pliers and one holding a Baseball Bat. Daniel goes forward to the wire mesh, Leo says that it needs to be cut with Pliers. Daniel executes one of the two Red Kings that has Pliers, and another one with the Baseball Bat. Daniel then cuts the wire mesh with the Pliers.
Basketball Court[]
A checkpoint hits in this section. Daniel goes on the front of the basketball court to the front of Red Kings' hangout. A cutscene plays, seeing the Red Kings getting out from the hangout and talking, later soon they will check the outside. Daniel lures one of them outside to a manhole Environmental Execution. Daniel then executes one more Red King. After executing all of them, Daniel goes to the Red Kings' hangout.
Red Kings' Hangout[]
Daniel goes downstairs to meet one Red King, he lures the Red King and then executing him after the hunter is facing away from Daniel. Daniel has a flashback when in near the television, the television turns on showing mouth opening with teeth, bloody walls and floors, and deceased body parts sliced to small pieces. Daniel then shakes his head to get his mind stable again. Daniel goes to the right from the television to find stairs going to the second floor. Daniel finds a homeless people going down from the fire escape, Daniel then climbs up to the fire escape.
Outside Velvet Glove[]
After getting to the fire escape, a cutscene shows two Cops beating a Red King with Nightsticks. Daniel jumps down from the fire escape, finding a manhole Environmental Execution. The player can execute one of the Cops with the manhole. Daniel kills all the Cops and finds a Titty City club, the player can stare at the second stripper from the right for too long and the ghost of Daniel's wife with her head cut off will appear, jumpscaring the player. Daniel finds a pedestrian guarding the Titty City, the player can decide to kill the pedestrian or otherwise. Daniel goes near Velvet Glove, Leo says he does not like Daniel's plan, he smells Project saying it is a setup. There are two ways the player can enter the Velvet Glove sex shop, from the front entrance door or to the back door.
Velvet Glove[]
Inside Velvet Glove, a cutscene shows around Velvet Glove. Daniel finds two Watchdogs guarding the place and searching for Daniel and one innocent Perv. Daniel kills the Watchdogs, the player can also decide to kill the innocent Perv. Daniel goes upstairs located behind the cashier while the Watchdogs heard Daniel and chases him.
Chase[]
After crossing the planks to the fire escape, the planks falls down to the ground. Watchdogs notices Daniel, and tries to shoot him with a Light Handgun. Daniel sprints to upstairs, reaching his old safe house, Painkillers can be picked up in case the player gets shot and hurt.
Safe House[]
After running through the fire escape, Daniel jumps down to the derelict safe house. Daniel goes to the other side and unlocks the door with the key he received from Judy before this episode, and entering the safe house. Leo appears to the episode and gets in the safe house, he comments and calls the safe house a "shithole". Daniel notices the clippings and photos of him, he remembers that he puts these to make Daniel "remember", but Daniel confuses why he puts them on the walls. Daniel finds and notices a photo of him and Michael Grant fishing together. He remembers all about Michael, and has a flashback on the next episode, Best Friends.
