Ryton Aide is a pharmacy appearing in Manhunt and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.
Description[]
The Ryton Aide store located in Carcer Market, Carcer City. and has the exact same exterior design as the store in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, though it is not accessible to the player.
A Ryton Aide branch also appears in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, located in Little Haiti, Vice City. The store includes its interior originally intended for Manhunt, due to several pre-release assets from Manhunt from circa 2002 being used during the level designing of Vice City Mainland.
Leftovers of the original interior can still be found in Manhunt, including textures for a Hidamol box[1] and an unused map of Born Again with the interiors of both Ryton Aide and Calleggi Delicatessen Restaurant outlined.[2]
The store plays no role in Manhunt whatstover. In Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, is serves as one of the 15 stores that the player must rob to achieve 100% completion of the game. It features a health and a adrenaline pickup inside. During the Taxi Driver side-mission, passengers may request the driver to drop them off at the 'Chemist,' an alternate name for this Ryton Aide store.
Products[]
A number of drugs, other products and manufacturers were cut along with the pharmacy's interior. All textures mentioning said brands are found through reused assets in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, identified as original Manhunt textures through their Bow_ prefix referring to "Bowery Level".
Influence[]
It is most likely a parody of the real-life drugstore Rite Aid.
