The Shovel [1] is a red class weapon in Manhunt 2.
Description[]
The Shovel is a mundane tool intended for digging, lifting and moving bulk materials. In the hands of a sadistic psychopath such as Leo Kasper, however, this Shovel turns into a deadly weapon used to kill hunters with sadistic creativity, from mere bludgeoning to straight up beheading. It deals low damage in melee combat.
While performing a wall hug, the player can swing this Shovel when standing at the edge of a corner. If this attack successfully lands on an incoming hunter, it will instantly kill them via decapitation rather than knocking them down, dropping their Head. This technique can only stun hunters if the player is crouched while pressed against low cover, in which normal knockdown mechanics are applied instead of decapitation.
Just like some of its fellow Red class blunt weapons (such as the Baseball Bat and the Sledgehammer), it has the ability to destroy heads. Simply stand on top of the right spot of a corpse before hitting it, defiling their now headless body as a result.

Trivia[]
- The Shovel's tip will always have stains of blood on it, even if was never used for killing hunters before. This may be done to fit the game's dark and gruesome theme.
- The Shovel is the only weapon capable of both destroying and chopping off heads.
