The Sniper Rifle (Scoped)[2][3], also known as the IDK Type 2 Sniper [1], is a red class weapon in Manhunt and Manhunt 2.
Description[]
The Sniper Rifle is most effective at range and can hold up to a maximum of 72 rounds.
It is used by Ramirez, the Cerberus, and the CCPD in Manhunt, and by The Wardogs and Project Militia in Manhunt 2. It has a laser sight when equipped by hunters.
Influence[]
Sniper Rifle is based on Enfield Enforcer.
Executions[]
Manhunt 2[]
| Type | Execution | Description | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hasty | Similar to the Assault Rifle and Crossbow, in which the player aims the rifle at their head and prods the target's back. They turn around and the player shoots their head, destroying it which differentiates both rifles from the crossbow. |
| |
| Violent | Similar to the Shotgun and its other variants' Gruesome executions, in which the player swings the rifle across the target's occiput and strikes them down on their knees using its butt. The player then shoots them in the head, destroying it completely. |
| |
| Gruesome | The player shoots the target's shoulder, forcing them to their knees. The player bashes their face in with the rifle's butt, killing them. |

Trivia[]
Sniper Rifle's max ammo in both Manhunt titles.
- In both titles, the Sniper Rifle's max ammo count is 72 bullets, thus displaying "6/66" in the HUD, the number of the beast.
- In Manhunt, the Sniper Rifle erroneously uses the HUD icon depicting the removed PSG-1-inspired Heavy Sniper.
- Coincidentally, the Sniper Rifle in Rockstar North's Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas also uses a HUD icon depicting a PSG-1.
- A silenced variant of the Sniper Rifle was cut from the game. It is still mentioned in the game's GXT files as "Sniper Rifle (Scoped) + Silencer". Its HUD icon can still be found in the game files and it uses the correct Sniper Rifle model instead of the PSG-1 icon.
