- The Journalist begins investigating Starkweather and his snuff operation for months.[10] Mr. Nasty catches wind of her snooping around and offers a bounty on her head that's worth “a years salary” to Valiant Video members on Valiant-ent.tv's forums on October 21, 2003 at 7:47 p.m.[11]
- The events of Manhunt take place in November.
- Death row inmate James Earl Cash is supposed to be executed in the Darkwoods Penitentiary with a lethal injection. However, he was saved by snuff film director Lionel Starkweather, who bribes the corrupt prison officials to reprieve him by replacing his injection with a sedative. He is then transported to Carcer Mark where the Director awaits his “resurrection” to make him the protagonist of his latest snuff film.[12]
- Five hours after Cash's so-called execution, the Journalist returns to her apartment to start collecting footage and testimony of Cash as evidence to expose Starkweather and his snuff film operation that runs deep in Carcer.[13]
- Starkweather's snuff films “Born Again”, “Doorway Into Hell”, and “Road to Ruin” are recorded and released, co-starring the local Hoods gang.
- Starkweather's snuff films “White Trash” and “Fuelled By Hate” are recorded and released, co-starring the white supremacist Skinz.
- Starkweather's snuff films “Grounds for Assault” and “Strapped for Ca$h” are recorded and released, co-starring the gung-ho Wardogs and four special guests.
- Starkweather's snuff films “View of Innocence”, “Drunk Driving”, and “Graveyard Shift” are recorded and released, co-starring the perverse Innocentz gang.
- In View of Innocence, Cash's remaining family is slaughtered on tape by a Babyface with a machete, with Cash as a witness.

- Starkweather's film actor, The White Rabbit, is killed in his last snuff tape “Kill the Rabbit” by Cash who survives the Smileys meant to kill him. In response, Starkweather dispatches his Cerberus mercenaries to eliminate Cash, but he escapes the scene once again.
- After escaping the prison, Cash is caught by snuff film actor and Wardogs leader Ramirez in their apartment turf. He and some of his men are killed by Cash in a bloodsport gone wrong before he is rescued by a Carcer City News journalist in her car.
- Cash helps a Carcer City News journalist to collect her evidences against Starkweather in her apartment in Central, protecting her from cops dispatched by police chief Schaffer who was ordered by Starkweather to bring both Cash and the reporter to him in an illegal operation without a police report. After escorting the reporter, Cash makes his way to the nearby Carcer Point Station.
- The manhunt for Cash is escalated as SWAT units are deployed along with the police officers already on the scene. The search is expanded to the train station and its subterranean railways to the Stockyard where various tactics were used to halt his escape, including an ambush by the SWAT at the end of the Stockyard that would've resulted in his summary execution were it not for Cerberus killing the SWAT and capturing Cash for Starkweather.
- During the events of Cash's escape through the trainyard, former snuff film actor Piggsy escapes his confinement in Starkweather's Estate's attic.
- Cash is brought to Starkweather's Estate in Wapona Hills by the Cerberus and almost killed in a garage against Starkweather's orders. However, Piggsy's escape and killing spree distracts them and gives Cash a window to intrude Starkweather's mansion through the basement versus the Cerberus who now have new orders to kill both Cash and Piggsy.
- During this event, the press have gathered outside of Starkweather's mansion to report on the story leaked by the Journalist.
- Cash successfully invades Starkweather's mansion through the basement and eavesdrops on the Cerberus Leader's precautions to prevent the 2 serial killers from reaching Starkweather. Cash kills the Leader for his elevator key and restores the elevator motor's power to reach the upper floors.
- Cash is ambushed in the elevator by Piggsy and escapes through a hatch to the mansion's derelict upper floor and the attic. Piggsy, the last squad of Cerberus, and Starkweather are all murdered by Cash who escapes the scene.
- The CCPD finds evidence of a snuff film ring being operated from Starkweather's estate's confines and linked to their own police chief, and investigates the murders of the serial killer Piggsy, the Cerberus mercenaries, and Starkweather before ruling it as a “bloody vendetta” perpetrated by an unknown assailant.
