The Tramp is a minor character appearing in Manhunt.

History[]

Background[]

Very little of the Tramp's background is known; his jacket indicates he may have served in the U.S. military at some point during his life. Sometime before 2003, he became an actor for the film director Lionel Starkweather, it is unknown whether he was kept on as one of his "extras" or whether he actually works for the director. His most notable characteristic is that he is an alcoholic. He made an appearance in another film also directed by Starkweather known as The Tramp Who Knew Too Much.

Events of Manhunt[]

In 2003, the Tramp is locked in a cage by the Innocentz as part of Lionel Starkweather's snuff productions. Starkweather orders James Earl Cash to kill the guards and free the Tramp, which he successfully does. Following this, Starkweather orders Cash to safely guide the Tramp to the Carcer City Church as part of the film plot. After fighting through several members of the Innocentz, Cash delivers the Tramp to a tomb in the church cemetery, and after fleeing to a nearby street, the scene is cut and Cash awakens in the underground entrance to the Carcer Chem Factory. The Tramp is no longer seen or mentioned throughout the game.

Apparel[]

Trivia[]

  • In the Prototype Version 0.69, the Tramp's character model was used as a placeholder for the White Rabbit and the Cerberus Leader, as both unique character models didn't exist at that point in development.
  • His body texture features a patch with a Monkeys member head and the words "Wild Monkey" on it, which is a reference to Travis Bickle from the movie 1976 film Taxi Driver. However, this texture detail is not mapped into the model itself.[2]
  • The numbers on his bonus features renders are actually a date for February 24, 2003. It can be assumed that this date represents the date his model render was created.
