The Tranquilizer Gun[1] is a blue class weapon in Manhunt 2.

Description[]

This gun fires tranquilizer rounds that immobilize targets for a certain amount of time depending on where they were shot. Single shots to the hunter's body except their head area will tranquilize them for approximately 10 seconds while leaving them standing, allowing the player to freely execute them. Double taps against already tranquilized targets and headshots will incapacitate them for approximately 30 seconds, but the hunter will lie on the floor in a fetal position, preventing the player from executing them but allowing the player to instantly kill them with one hit to their downed body.

While tranquilized, a hunter will not be responsive to anything but the player striking them with a melee weapon, firearm, or lure item. Hitting them will wake them up from their tranquilized state and become alerted, if not killed by a lethal hit. The tranquilizer gun is not non-lethal so much as it deals miniscule damage, requiring 7 shots to kill a hunter regardless of where they were shot at. The gun also has a slow rate of fire.

If the player is shot by this gun, they will suffer minor damage and, approximately, a ten second duration of being tranquilized. The player will not be stunned, but their screen will have a warped effect. During this state, the player cannot aim down firearms or lock onto hunters, thus disabling the ability to execute hunters or aim down a weapon for better accuracy. The player can still shoot or strike with their weapon.

Because of its unique mechanism as a tranquilizer gun, shooting with it produces less noise than a traditional gun, only able to be heard by a hunter that's extremely near the player. Like all firearms in Manhunt 2, reloading with this gun will create noise that can only be heard by hunters in close proximity.
